I’ve been hearing a lot about French brand Sézane for a while. This season they opened a flagship store in New York and they’ve done an impressive marketing campaign to promote it featuring some of the best known bloggers like Sincerely Jules or Gal Meets Glam.

I had been reluctant to try it because I don’t like buying stuff I can’t try on. I’m old fashioned that way. Sézane only has stores in Paris and New York, it’s a brand that was born online. Even though returns are easy and free I don’t like to go through that process. What I usually buy online are things that were sold out in the store but available on their e-shop. Or brands that I know really well and I know what size will fit. Still, I was so obsessed with Sézane’s fall collection (they have the prettiest sweaters and shoes!) that I decided to take the plunge and order this kimono cardigan.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision. First of all the packaging and presentation was amazing and it came with a few extra goodies that are so cool. It’s beautiful, cozy, elegant and the quality is great. I’m always on the lookout for original pieces and this is the kind of stuff I love. The tassel belt is removable but it’s actually the best part of the cardigan, it accentuates your waist making it more feminine. I know that I’m going to get a lot of use out of it. Let’s take a moment to talk about these shoes. Being petite this platform shoe trend is a life saver. High heels look amazing but wearing them every day can be tiresome. As a teacher I have to run around all day because the high school where I work is a campus with different buildings. So some days I just can’t be bothered… These platforms are 6cm (approx. 2.5″) high which is the high heel height I usually wear but oh so comfy! This is definitely going to be my go to shoe this season.
