Easter holidays are now in full swing and the weather couldn’t be any better. This startling warmth has allowed me to wear my new jungle print shorts that I expected to start using in May or later. These shorts were one of the coups de coeur or love at first sight moments I recently had at Des Petits Hauts store that I told you about last week. These high-waisted shorts have a glittering green button and a print designed by French artist Léa Maupetit. They make me think of the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight. I’m sure you remember it from this Friends episode.

Even though the print is very summery -when I first saw them I thought they could be perfect for either a Hawaiian or Roman holiday- I find that you can wear them in spring too. I tried them on with a light cashmere sweater and it worked well with it but finally I went for this soft pink Oxford shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch.

I want to give you a little photography tip that you may find useful whether you are a fashion blogger or a photography aficionado. When thinking about locations to shoot this look I instantly ruled out any park or the countryside. Why? Because I felt those places are too similar to the shorts and would take away the importance they deserve. Something I’ve learned from these three years blogging is how crucial location scouting is. If you find a place with flowers or buildings that match or complement your outfit, your photo will look a thousand times better. For instance, these pink blooms matched bits of my outfit in this post. See what I mean?
