Put a Bow on It

When I go shopping there are a few things that always catch my eye. They are feminine details such as bows and tassels, fabrics like lace, pastel colors or prints like polka dots. I can’t get enough of them. They make timeless pieces and you never get tired of wearing them.

That is the case of this sweater, it will never be out of fashion. Pretty simple front but it has a beautiful bow on the back that makes it really special. It dresses you up while having that cozy feeling that characterizes knits at the same time. It is from El Ganso, another Spanish brand. I’ve been posting a lot of items by Spanish designers lately such as this cute cardigan or these animal print sneakers.

The coat is made by another Spanish brand. This is the most popular one all around the world: Zara. I usually buy basics at Zara such as blazers, jackets and coats. They are affordable and that allows you to have a wider variety of outwear. I love the military details on the sleeves.

On another note I’d like to talk about the location where we took these photos. This 16th century cloister is part of a Renaissance building in my hometown. I hadn’t visited it for so long! We sometimes forget about the beautiful places we have close by. We take them for granted and fail to appreciate them like they deserve. We dream about exotic locations around the world when we have so much valuable heritage close by. Do you ever feel like this? Are there any historic landmarks where you live?

You could DIY a bow like that on a T-shirt. A sweater would be difficult–it might unravel–but a T-shirt would suddenly be dressed up.

  3. That sweater with the bow is adorable! And I love the berets in your hair as well 🙂
The location where you guys took this photo is beautiful! Definitely historic. We have something here in Toronto called the Distillery District (currently, there's a beautiful Christmas Market taking place there!) As soon as you walk through it, you feel like you've gone back in time. It's such a classic landmark.

  4. I also always pay attention to the details! Bows, cute stickers, or just a color stitching — I feel like those little details really make a piece of clothing stand out!

Love this adorable bow detail on your sweater!!! It's so stylish and cute at the same time!

  5. Love the little bow detail! It's nice to get pieces that are easy to mix and match, but also have small unexpected qualities that make them unique. I'm a huge Zara fan, and that coat is definitely one I would pick up!

  6. I always say that the interest is in the details – like that little bow in the back. I feel like an outfit is complete if we pay attention to the small things.

I'm also hosting a giveaway on my blog, and you can win an Hourglass Ambient Light Surreal Palette. It's the perfect Christmas gift: bit.ly/ILifeYouxStayGoldbyJVGiveaway

    Happy holidays xx
