It’s always fun to be a tourist in your own city, especially if you haven’t lived there for long. Last Sunday I decided to take a break from all the stressful work and visit some of Madrid’s landmarks. Since I believe it’s important to be stylish on any occasion I chose this Andy Warhol for Pepe Jeans top and shorts combo. I love this two piece ice-cream print outfit, worn either as a pair or separate. I wore the two together, topped with my favorite Panama hat. I find this type of two piece outfit really feminine and chic, what do you think?
We started off at the Royal Palace of Madrid and then moved on to the Sabatini gardens.
We found endless examples of beautiful architecture.
Our last stop was the Almudena cathedral before having lunch.
Opposite the Royal Palace there’s a wonderful restaurant and terrace: Café de Oriente. It has the most beautiful views in the city and it’s impeccably furnished. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the decor. Since the weather was perfect we had lunch al fresco in their terrace. We ordered delicious sandwiches and treats. Once we finished we went inside to have some tea.
