If you’ve been following the blog over the last few weeks you’ll know about my love for cupcakes. There is a place back in my hometown where I buy them and also get the ingredients to make my own: Golden Cupcake.

This beautiful store opened four years ago. Their lovely owner Arantxa works non-stop to make the most delicious cupcakes, cookies and customized cakes. For the cupcakes they use traditional American recipes which makes them all the more authentic. They also use high quality ingredients. Other specialties include macarons and hand-painted cookies.

Their confectionery is creative and original. Their customized cakes are works of art. The exterior is a joy to behold and the interior is tasty and spongy. The only limit is imagination. Fancy a Chanel or Louis Vuitton themed cake? You’ve got it! (Those are some of the most popular requests among the ladies). They will help you out with the design so the result is a fine and pretty piece, not excessively ornate.

Arantxa learnt about cupcakes in the U.S. The treat’s success is due to the combination of beauty and deliciousness. In order to get ready for the job she attended many courses in different places like Barcelona or the United Kingdom. Here in Spain they are becoming very popular too especially among young people. She stressed the importance of continuous learning because this industry is trend related and is constantly changing.
