I’m no beauty expert, in fact I still have so much to learn! I wish I could be one of those girls who are so good at it they make hair or make-up tutorials. Instead, I’m the one who pins their photos and saves their videos to practice in front of the mirror later. However, when I find something I like I can’t wait to share it with you guys. A few months ago I shared my experience with the ghd rose gold straightener which you can read here. Today I want to talk about lashes.

When I do my make-up I always spend the longest time doing my eyes because I want them to stand out. I have natural long lashes but I’ve never known their potential until now. I used to need a while to get my lashes up with mascara. Some of them were slightly bent because I sleep on my side. So I needed a product that would enhance them. I had heard of things like Latisse but apparently it can cause irritation or other side effects and that’s a big no-no for me.

One day I read about Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum and I decided to give it a go. It is a white mascara that promises to give lashes up to twice the volume and to make them stronger. Its formula combines hyaluronic acid with plumping properties and the Dior Lash MaximizerTM ingredient.

You can use it once or twice a day. First, as a base applied before your regular mascara -even though it’s white, you can barely see it once it dries- and then again before going to bed as a night treatment.


I’ve been using it only once a day at night for two months now. And gals, I’m so happy with the results! My lashes are intensely curled, so much that I only need a coat of mascara and they are up with a single stroke. That means I save a lot of time when doing my make-up. They also feel thicker, however, I can’t really say if they are longer since, as I said, I had long lashes to start with. I’ve been seeing results from day one, so if you are not very patient like me, this is a strong point. Finally, I’ve also noticed that I hardly ever lose lashes these days. I guess that means no more wishes for me… 😉

Biggest advantage: there are no side effects. 
Biggest downside: it’s quite pricey but I don’t mind splurging on a product if it works.
