Stepping Stones (Fuchsia Romper)

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today’s post is set in a very special place: Castrillo de los Polvazares. To those of you who don’t speak Spanish may think it looks like a tongue twister. It’s common for Spanish villages to have peculiar names. This one is located near my hometown in the north-west of Spain.

Castrillo was one of the most important places during the Spanish War of Independence, as it was the first village of the area where the Spanish troops rebelled against the French army. The village keeps its original architecture since the 16th century. Every single building is made of stone and the road is paved with stones too. On 1980 it was declared Historic-Artistic Set of Great Value.

Today, its petite craftsmanship stores, unique architecture and distinctive cuisine attract tourists from all around the world.

When choosing what to wear I knew that I needed something colorful to contrast with the monochrome background and comfy to stand the heat and walk the stone paved streets. In the end I went for this fuchsia romper by Hilfiger Denim, Replay espadrilles and this gorgeous Star Mela clutch.
